A couple of years ago, the interest in online bonuses among Indian players was limited. Players took more interest in online gambling being possible, and bonuses remained a seemingly complex and unnecessary feature of gambling websites.

What is ‘Actual Bonus Value’?
The Actual Bonus Value, ABV for short, is a measurement tool created by us to calculate the actual value of your bonus.
While a bonus might say that it gives you one lakh, the investment of your money and time, combined with the need for luck, might mean a very different amount of real money at the end of the day.
The ABV gives us a value, a hard fact, to base our review upon, which is more graspable than a subjective view of a bonus.
How we calculated the Actual Bonus Value
When determining the ABV, we take some aspects of the welcome bonus into account. These are converted into numerical values and are calculated to determine the final ABV.
- Welcome bonus amount: The maximum bonus amount obtainable.
- Wagering requirement: How many times the bonus has to be wagered before it converts into real money.
- Wager contribution: How much of your stake is contributing to the wagering requirement.
- Playable games (1-5 scale): Which games will contribute to wagering of the bonus.
- T&Cs clarity (1-5 scale): How easy it is to understand the terms and conditions of the bonus.
To be able to rate game selection and T&C clarification of a bonus, we had to create criteria for each rating score:

Other relevant factors determining bonus quality
While the above aspects of a bonus can be used to determine the quality of a welcome bonus directly, some aspects are more subjective, describing the type of bonus rather than if it’s a good one.
To make this expert case study as extensive and transparent as possible, we chose to include a number of other important aspects when deciding whether or not a bonus is for you.
The below bonus aspects are all important, as some expose flaws or strengths of a bonus offer otherwise overlooked by anyone unfamiliar with reading long and boring terms and conditions at online casinos. Something that we have spent countless hours doing (even writing some ourselves).
Time to claim
The ‘time to claim’ refers to the timeframe from creating your new online casino account to your welcome bonus expiring.
Casinos often want players to start playing immediately and will want you to deposit soon after signup to prevent the loss of your welcome bonus. We prefer a longer timeframe; being stressed isn’t fun or responsible.
Time to wager
The ‘time to wager’ refers to the timeframe within which you need to meet the bonus’s wagering requirements.
Failure to wager the full bonus within this timeframe will result in the loss of the full bonus. A welcome bonus split across several deposits may reset this wager timeframe with each deposit, while some will not. We prefer as long timeframes as possible.
Minimum deposit (in ₹)
While you’ll often have to make a larger deposit to utilize the full potential of a bonus, the minimum deposit indicates the smallest deposit you can make while still qualifying for the bonus.
The minimum deposit is usually equal to the minimum deposit possible at a casino, but this isn’t guaranteed, so it’s always important to check.
Wager Contribution Live Casino
Live casino games are far more popular than slots in India, but welcome bonuses are often created for slot game players.
It’s common that live casino tables only contribute 10% to the wagering requirement, which means that if you place a ₹100 bet, only ₹10 of that counts towards the wagering of your bonus.

Bonus money or cash bonus
Bonuses can look very different, with the common “traditional” bonus being a unique “bonus balance” being added to your playable balance, and where you’ll play using these “bonus funds” once you’ve depleted your real money.
Another type of bonus is the cash bonus, where the full bonus amount is locked until you have met its requirements using your real money balance. Only then is your full bonus amount released in real money for you to play with or withdraw.
Play with real money or bonus to wager
As mentioned, some bonuses will have you play with real money, with others require you to use bonus funds.
You’ll want to know which type of money to effectively wager your bonus. The T&Cs of a bonus should state if your real money balance, bonus balance, or both contribute to the wagering requirements.
Withdrawal while wagering
More often than not, a welcome bonus (or any casino bonus) will be forfeited if you decide to make a real money withdrawal before meeting the wagering requirements of a bonus.
This goes for cash and bonus fund offers, with only a few rare exceptions of some cash bonuses.
All deposit methods allowed
Sometimes, certain deposit methods will not qualify for a welcome offer when used.
Methods that are often restricted for bonuses are Skrill, Neteller, and cryptocurrencies, with the simple reason being that these methods are more often used for various forms of bonus abuse.
While restrictions won’t mean a bonus is good or bad, it’s always good to know which payment methods qualify and which don’t.
Top Indian Casinos and their actual bonus value
The ABV of all the Indian casinos we’ve tested shows that while bonuses might look similar, their value can differ greatly.
From the analysis, no bonus comes close to being worth the value that they state to offer.
However, there are some exceptions to this, as some of these bonuses, although having a lower ABV than their full bonus, will give you the full amount. But let’s look into that in a moment.

Based on our calculations, the actual bonus value of Casino Day’s ₹1,00,000 offer is ₹41,600, which is 41.60% of the marketed value. However, since this is a cash bonus, you are guaranteed the full ₹1 lakh if deposits and requirements are met.
The welcome bonus at Casino Days is straightforward, giving you up to one lakh rupees in cash. To obtain the full bonus, you’ll want to participate in all three parts:
- The first offer matches your deposit to 100% up to ₹50,000.
- The second offer matches your deposit to 50% up to ₹25,000.
- The third offer also matches 50% up to ₹25,000.
Each part of the bonus has to be activated from your My Offers page, and this is also where you will claim your cash bonus once you’ve met its wagering requirements. In other words, this bonus guarantees you to receive the bonus amount in real money since the bonus is not available to you until you have met its wagering requirement.
Bonuses like these are great for anyone who wants to know what they’ll get. To provide an example: If, at the first offer, you deposit ₹30,000, you know that you will be able to claim ₹30,000 in cash once you’ve fulfilled the bonus criteria.
However, looking at some bonus aspects, the timeframes to claim and wager is confusing. We contacted Casino Days customer support for clarification, and they confirmed that the 7 days to claim and 7 days to wager are correct but apply to each of the three parts of the offer separately. Meaning that these timeframes “reset” each time you complete a step of the offer. While confusing, this is much better than having 7 days to wager the whole offer!
Something else to keep in mind with the Casino Days welcome bonus is the max win limit. You can win an additional ten times the deposited amount while wagering for your bonus. While winnings from progressive jackpots are exempt from this rule, Casino Days doesn’t offer any progressive jackpots with massive payouts, so that term is irrelevant.
It is important to keep this in mind when deciding on investing in a Casino Days bonus. As you are wagering using your real money balance, and if you are landing a massive win that exceeds 10x the amount you deposited, you’ll lose the prize money that exceeds those 10x due to wagering towards a bonus.

Similarly to Casino Days, Big Boost’s Actual Bonus Value of their ₹1,00,000 bonus is ₹41,600, 41.60% of the total amount. And it is no coincidence that these offers have the same value.
Big Boost is operated by White Star B.V., the same operator that runs Casino Days. And to simplify things, they’ve decided to mimic the welcome offer on these websites. This means that the welcome offer at Big Boost is identical to that at Casino Days. For you as a player, this means that you technically can enjoy two bonuses by signing up at both casinos and that you’ll already be accustomed to the bonus terms and conditions.
Because of this, we will not dive deeper into the welcome bonus of Big Boost, as the bonus mechanics have already been broken down for Casino Days.

Although a greatly different welcome bonus from the cash offers of Casino Days and Big Boost, PlaySQR’s bonus ABV still lands on 41.60% of its total bonus value with its ₹8320 out of the total ₹20,000.
The offer at PlaySQR is split into two sections, where the first one gives you a 100% deposit bonus of up to ₹10,000, and the second a 200% deposit bonus of up to ₹10,000. As you can see from the table, this is a bonus money type offer, and there are also no deposit method restrictions other than a minimum deposit of ₹1000 for cryptocurrencies.
While this bonus is small compared to many other offers, its bonus terms and mechanics are very user-friendly. For example, this is the only bonus that doesn’t list specific game titles as excluded from the wagering requirement. The wagerings are listed as follows:
- Slots: 100%
- Table and Live Casino Games: 10%
- Jackpot games, all versions of Baccarat: 0%
For that reason, the PlaySQR bonus sets itself high on useability, even though it’s unfortunate that we can’t effectively play live casino games to wager it.
But there are still a few aspects worth considering, with the max win being the first. It’s good to know that you can only win a maximum of ₹20,000 from this bonus. So if you take home a big win with your bonus, while that makes it easier for you to meet the wagering requirements, you can kiss any excess money goodbye as soon as you have completed the bonus wagering.
You also want to keep the max bet limit in mind. Where other casinos determine a specific amount, PlaySQR sets the limit to “25% of your deposited amount”. We would have preferred a set amount; however, the 25% rule benefits High Rollers making larger deposits and looking for quicker ways to wager.
During our review of the PlaySQR bonus, we found a discrepancy in their bonus terms, so we had to contact their customer support to confirm that the correct timeframe to wager the bonus is 7 days. These seven days apply to the entire offer, so you must make both deposits and wager both amounts within that time.

Maharaja Fortune is the third online casino in our case study with a cash welcome bonus. Based on our review, their ABV lands on ₹7800, 31.20% of the total value.
However, remember that as this is a cash bonus, the full bonus amount is released in real money you can withdraw once the wagering requirement has been reached.
The bonus itself is pretty straightforward, where you make one deposit to have it matched to 100% with up to ₹25,000 in cash. Wager the bonus amount within seven days to unlock and claim it from within your offers page.
As many others like it, this bonus is mainly catering towards slot players, with slots contributing 100% to the wagering requirement and roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and most other live casino games only contributing 10%.
In addition to the lower wagering contributions, Maharaja Fortune lists No commission table games, Texas Hold’em, Casino Holdem, Stud or 3 Card Poker, and another 110 games, which are entirely excluded from wagering altogether. Reviewing the excluded games, we can see plenty of popular and well-known titles such as Money Train, Pearls of India, Aztec Warrior Princess, Piggy Riches Megaways, and a number of jackpot games.
Besides the excluded games, the Maharaja Fortune welcome bonus is pleasantly easy to use and understand, with just the size of the bonus and its excluded games list truly affecting the ABV.

Bettilt lands in the lower half of the casinos we have reviewed for this study. Their offer gives you up to ₹90,000 in bonus and 150 Free Spins, split across your first three deposits, which translates to an ABV of ₹19,440, 21.60% of the bonus’s total value.
As mentioned, the bonus is split across three deposits, with each deposit being matched 100% up to ₹30,000 while also providing you with 50 Free Spins. It’s pleasing to see a split bonus that keeps the 100% match with all deposits, as it’s not uncommon for casinos to lower the percentage, but increasing the max match amount to entice players to make larger deposits.
The Bettilt welcome bonus is a perfect example of an offer with clearly good and bad features, but unfortunately, the bad somewhat overshadows the good.
This is a bonus money type of offer, meaning that the bonus amount is credited to your account balance as bonus money. Wagering towards converting the bonus is done by using bonus funds.
Looking at the specifics, three aspects stand out as positive. Firstly, this offer has one of the longest timeframes to claim and wager of all bonuses we’ve tried. You have a full month to claim it and another month to wager!
Secondly, the bonus has no betting limits, allowing you to place bets of any size you want when wagering. Thirdly, the bonus itself is quite large, allowing you to grab close to one lakh worth of bonus money and 150 Free Spins!
Unfortunately, those are the only good things about the offer, and we found being able to navigate the offer possible, mainly thanks to our extensive previous experience with casino bonuses.
One of the most important things about this offer is its wagering requirement. While the industry standard is 35x, Bettilt has increased the wagering requirement to 40x. There isn’t any reason to demand a standard casino bonus to be wagered an additional five times, so this isn’t great. The max win limit of 5x the bonus is also lower than the industry standard.
Something else that disappointed us while analyzing the offer is that it’s marketed as being a “casino and live casino bonus,” while in reality, it isn’t welcoming for live casino players at all, only allowing bets to contribute 10% to the wagering requirement when live games are played.
Lastly, when examining the wager contribution terms and conditions, we found that while the welcome offer says slots contribute 100%, their T&Cs state that “most of Slot games contribute 100%.” When we asked their customer support, we were told that some games wouldn’t contribute and that the player would have to contact customer support to check if the game they wished to play would contribute. They refused to give us a list of excluded games. This is obviously extremely annoying for players who want to try out different games with their bonus. We find this highly disappointing from an otherwise great online casino.

The bonus is split as follows:

While there are several reasons why the ABV of this bonus scores so much lower than some of the other casinos we have reviewed in this study, this bonus also comes with a number of perks that can make it a worthwhile bonus for dedicated players.
The perks of this bonus are that live casino game shows like Crazy Time and MONOPOLY Live are games that contribute 100% to the wagering requirement, and with only some exclusions, MegaPari’s unique “Megagames” contribute 200% to the wagering requirement, making these optimal to play when wagering the welcome bonus.
Another good thing about this bonus is that it has no maximum win limit. In other words, you won’t lose part of your winnings if you land a big win while wagering your bonus.
The downfalls of the MegaPari welcome bonus lie with the bonus rules and available games. MegaPari is not an online casino exclusive to India, which shows in their bonus terms, as all amounts are shown in Euro, not Indian Rupees. We believe this could also be the reason for the odd top bonus amount of ₹1,32,351. With T&Cs in Euro, it’s hard to know exactly how much to wager for the bonus to convert into real money.
Another unnecessary aspect of this offer is the difference in minimum deposits between the first and 2-4th offers. The minimum deposit for the first offer is €10, while it’s €15 for offers 2, 3, and 4.
Lastly, we have the game availability. While you’ll find a list of excluded “Megagames” within the welcome bonus terms, the much, much longer list of excluded regular games is hidden elsewhere. And when we say hidden, we mean it.
The welcome offer terms don’t even mention that other games may be excluded; it only says that the “General website terms and conditions apply.” Within these general terms, under clause 26. (Casino) section 2. (Stop List of Wagering Games), you’ll find an extensive list of all the games excluded from bonus wagering in alphabetical order. At the time of writing, we counted the list of excluded games to exceed 1500 titles!
With such a long list, you would need to check this list to either compile a handful of playable games or visit this list every time you want to try a new game to ensure you won’t waste your bonus money. A large game library is no excuse for such a long list of excluded games. A much better solution would be to limit the bonus to be playable on a selected number of games.
